This vineyard is one of the largest wine area of the South West; it was already a wine growing region during the Roman Time. In the Middle Age, wines were exported to England, Germany and The Netherlands. The area is producing red, white and rosé wines.
The red and rosé are issued from Merlot, Cabernet-Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon grapes and the traditional grape Côt (Malbec). The red wines are very aromatic (red fruits, vanilla) and structured when aged in barrels. They are recommended with beef, duck and poultry, and Rocamadour and Mozarella cheeses.
The white wines are dry, issued from Sémillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon grapes. They are crisp and complex and are not only recommended for the apéritif, but also with fish and sea food.
